Veritas

Veritas Warranty works closely with RepairPal-certified shops to facilitate a smooth vehicle service contract experience for both customers and service providers.

How to Start a Claim with Veritas

  1. Diagnose the vehicle based on the customer’s concern and determine necessary repairs and parts.
  2. Call Veritas for claim authorization before starting any repair work beyond diagnosis. Identify your shop as a RepairPal network shop for quick processing.

Key Requirements for Repairs

  • Labor and Parts Rates:
    • Follow Veritas’s labor rate guidelines as addressed during RepairPal certification.
    • Use an approved labor guide (e.g., Mitchell or ALLDATA).
    • Parts markup is not to exceed OEM MSRP. When requesting repair approval, use OEM list prices to ensure margin between acquisition cost and parts reimbursement.

Note: In rare cases where OEM MSRP is unavailable, markup from outside vendors should not exceed cost plus 30%.

  • Invoice Requirements:
    • Include date, customer name and address, vehicle year, make, model, and VIN.
    • Provide line item details of services and repairs performed, along with part numbers.
    • Show a breakdown between parts used and labor hours/charges, with a total at the bottom.

Additional Support Details

  • Rental Car Coverage:
    • Veritas provides rental coverage when a repair requires an overnight stay. To be eligible, request rental authorization at the same time you call in for repair authorization. Accurate ETAs for parts and repair completion are essential, as rental authorization only covers the required repair time.
  • Important: Rental reimbursements are capped at typical policy limits, such as 5-7 days.
  • Prompt Payment:
    • Veritas generally provides quick payment via a credit card over the phone once repairs are completed and invoiced correctly.
